![]() ![]() Patience is a virtue as they say. A cruel test of time, wasted time. Waiting, pondering, pacing up and down. As one sit or stand, kneel or squat. Wasting away withering to nothing. Waiting. Patience. What good is a river if all the water that runs through it immediately reaches it’s endpoint upon starting? Can you not see it? Witness its tranquility? This single removal of one of nature’s virtues destroys nature itself. What good is a cloud if it reaches its endpoint immediately, assuming it has an endpoint. What if it was lazy and just dumped all of its rain at once. There is nothing serene or natural about it at all! People want tomorrow to be today; many others wish the opposite and will never find their wishes to come true. They want to be older but some vice versa, for their stimulus cheques to come in the mail, paychecks, grades, packages. Instant gratification. Wait is for a reason; else spoil comes to rot our inner being. I find myself even wishing the same, about knowing it will come one day whether at the speed I like it or not. From a logical standpoint, why bother wishing for the impossible, for wishing for something to become unnatural. Patience is the key to success. It is only natural. |
